Democracy is in need of inspiration, interconnectedness, and courage, as well as space for questioning, reimagination and passionate discussion. Das Progressive Zentrum’s Democracy Lab offers this kind of space – for a creative, interdisciplinary and international exchange of questions on democratic innovation. The Democracy Lab’s goal is to develop approaches which can respond to the liberal democracy’s crisis. Our aim is to equip liberal democracies with changeable, and therefore sustainable approaches, ideas and procedures.
The Lab operates as a platform and networking space, accommodating various interdisciplinary projects, with the aim of developing concrete ideas and practical proposals for the future of democracy. Within the Lab we will analyse and research, discuss and create together. It will serve as a space for experimentation and solutions. The projects will be formed in cooperation with our partner organisations with the main goal of bringing together young experts, practitioners and activists from all divisions of society.
